COURSE AIMS

Understanding finance as a manager

The Finance for Non-Financial Managers course is designed to make financial information easier to understand and apply in everyday management situations. Participants do not need an accounting background and the emphasis is on developing practical financial awareness rather than learning detailed accounting procedures.

Participants will learn how the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement provide different perspectives on the financial health of a business. The course also explains commonly encountered financial terminology and explores the relationship between profit, cash, costs, budgets and business performance.

This programme is for you if you need to understand how a business operates from a financial perspective.  This course is aimed at new budget holders and those who are receiving (financial) management information.

The course is suitable for managers with little or no financial knowledge.
