Cisco certification FAQs
Common questions
What is the difference between CCNA, CCNP and CCIE?
CCNA validates associate-level knowledge and provides a strong foundation. CCNP is professional level and normally combines a core exam with a concentration exam. CCIE is expert level and adds a demanding hands-on lab or practical examination.
Do all Cisco training courses lead to a certification?
No. Some courses prepare directly for a certification exam, while others build specialist product or platform skills. Each ExperTrain course page explains the purpose of the course and, where applicable, the certification exam it supports.
Are Cisco certification exams included in the course price?
Exam inclusion varies by course. Please check the individual course page or contact ExperTrain if you would like confirmation before booking.
How long are Cisco certifications valid?
Most Cisco associate, professional, specialist and expert certifications are valid for three years and can be renewed through Cisco’s recertification programme. Current CCST certifications have a longer validity period.
