Policy Statement
ExperTrain Limited is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of its employees, associates, clients and delegates. As a provider of virtual and on-site training services, we take a proportionate and practical approach to managing health and safety, in line with the nature of our operations.

Scope
This policy applies to all ExperTrain Limited staff, freelance trainers, contractors and anyone engaged in the delivery of our training services, whether delivered remotely or at a client’s premises.

General Principles
ExperTrain Limited aims to:

- Prevent accidents and work-related ill health by identifying and mitigating foreseeable risks
- Provide safe and healthy working conditions for staff working from home or other remote locations
- Ensure that, when delivering training at a client’s premises, trainers are briefed on relevant health and safety arrangements and cooperate with the client’s policies
- Provide appropriate training and guidance to trainers and staff to support a safe working environment
- Promote a culture of safety, awareness and personal responsibility

Virtual Training Delivery
For courses delivered virtually, our trainers work from their own home offices. Trainers are responsible for maintaining a safe and suitable work environment, which includes:

- Ensuring their work area is free from hazards (e.g. trip hazards, overloaded sockets)
- Using equipment that is fit for purpose and in good working condition
- Taking regular breaks and adopting good ergonomic practices
- Complying with relevant health and safety laws as home workers

ExperTrain Limited supports its trainers with appropriate guidance to help them meet these responsibilities.

On-Site Training at Client Locations
When delivering training at a client’s premises:

- Trainers will cooperate with the client’s on-site health and safety rules and procedures
- Clients are responsible for providing a safe environment for training to take place
- Trainers will report any hazards, near misses or incidents to both ExperTrain Limited and the client’s designated health and safety representative
- ExperTrain will, on request, provide clients with copies of relevant public liability and professional indemnity insurance certificates.

Monitoring and Review
ExperTrain Limited reviews this policy annually, or more frequently if necessary, to ensure it remains relevant and effective. Any changes will be communicated to all staff and freelance trainers.
