Palo Alto Networks Firewall Training: EDU-210, EDU-330 and Panorama Explained

If you are responsible for Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls, three instructor-led courses are particularly relevant: Firewall Essentials (EDU-210), Firewall Troubleshooting (EDU-330) and Panorama NGFW Management.
Although all three courses relate to Palo Alto Networks firewalls, they serve different purposes. EDU-210 develops core administration skills, Panorama focuses on centralised management, and EDU-330 develops advanced troubleshooting capability.
EDU-210: Firewall Essentials
Firewall Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210) is the main foundation course for administrators and engineers working with Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls.
The five-day course covers firewall configuration and administration, security policies, NAT, application control, threat prevention, URL filtering, User-ID, logging and reporting.
Panorama NGFW Management
Panorama NGFW Management is a two-day course for professionals responsible for centrally managing multiple Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
It covers Panorama configuration, templates, device groups, administration, log collection, reporting and troubleshooting. Palo Alto Networks recommends prior knowledge equivalent to EDU-210.
EDU-330: Firewall Troubleshooting
Firewall Troubleshooting (EDU-330) is a three-day advanced course focused on diagnosing and resolving firewall problems using structured troubleshooting methods, logging and command-line techniques.
Palo Alto Networks lists EDU-210 as a prerequisite and also recommends strong practical networking and firewall experience.
Which course should you take first?
- EDU-210 for core configuration and administration skills.
- Panorama NGFW Management if you manage multiple firewalls centrally.
- EDU-330 for advanced troubleshooting once you have practical administration experience.
Which courses support certification?
Palo Alto Networks recommends both EDU-210 and Panorama NGFW Management as instructor-led preparation for the Palo Alto Networks Certified Next-Generation Firewall Engineer certification.
EDU-330 is valuable advanced skills development but is better viewed as troubleshooting training than as a standalone exam-preparation course.
Does the exam come with the training?
No. The certification exam is not included in the ExperTrain course fee. Where available, exam vouchers can be purchased separately.
