COURSE OVERVIEW
CompTIA Security+ provides the core cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level and early-career security roles. This course is aligned to the current CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 exam and focuses on identifying threats and vulnerabilities, applying security controls, securing hybrid environments, supporting security operations, responding to incidents and understanding governance, risk and compliance.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is designed for IT professionals with networking and administration experience who want to build foundational cybersecurity skills or prepare for the CompTIA Security+ certification.

COURSE PREREQUISITES
Delegates should have networking and administration skills in Windows-based TCP/IP environments and familiarity with other operating systems. CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking knowledge is recommended.
TEST CERTIFICATION
This course is recommended preparation for CompTIA Security+ SY0-701. The exam contains a maximum of 90 multiple-choice and performance-based questions and has a 90-minute time limit. CompTIA recommends around two years of IT administration experience with a security focus.
