About this learning path
Do I need to attend all three Excel courses before Power BI?
No. If you already work confidently with Excel data and are comfortable with basic analysis, you may be ready for Power BI Desktop Introduction. This pathway is a guide, not a fixed programme.
Is Power Query essential before learning Power BI?
It's helpful, especially if you spend time importing and cleaning data, but it isn't compulsory. Power BI Desktop uses Power Query Editor, so Excel Power Query experience transfers well.
Can I book just one course or arrange private training?
Yes. Each stage is a separate instructor-led ExperTrain course. Follow the links for current dates and prices, or enquire about private group training for your team.
How can I check which Excel course matches my abilities?
Take the free Excel Skills Assessment. It recommends a suitable starting point in the Excel course progression and can help you avoid revisiting topics you already know.
