Creating a more inclusive workplace

The Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) course helps participants understand how individual behaviours, organisational practices and workplace culture can influence people's experiences at work.

Participants will consider the meaning of equality, diversity and inclusion and explore why creating an inclusive environment involves more than simply complying with legal requirements. The course encourages participants to recognise how assumptions, unconscious behaviours and everyday decisions can affect colleagues and workplace relationships.

Putting EDI principles into practice

The course focuses on practical workplace situations and helps participants consider how inclusive behaviours can be incorporated into communication, decision-making and interactions with colleagues.

Participants will develop greater awareness of the perspectives and experiences of others and consider practical actions they can take to contribute to a respectful working environment where people feel able to participate and contribute.

The course is suitable for employees at all levels and can also provide managers and team leaders with useful perspectives when supporting diverse teams.
